Love Montessori is more than a playgroup. I offer small, nurturing Montessori parent and child programmes at my beautiful St Albans venue 'The Nest'. Every session is designed to support both your child's development and your confidence as a parent. You'll experience authentic Montessori practices in action, gain expert guidance from an AMI-trained Montessori educator, and learn practical ideas you can use at home.
I also offer online parenting workshops and courses, available on demand so you can learn whenever it suits you. Whether you join me in person or online, you'll receive the same practical, expert Montessori guidance to help you raise a curious, capable child while feeling calmer and more confident as a parent

What is Montessori?
Montessori is a calm, child-led approach that nurtures confident, capable children through hands-on learning. Carefully prepared activities encourage children to explore at their own pace, developing independence, concentration and a life-long love of learning

A baby group with a difference.
Gentle Montessori play in a small group that nurtures your baby's natural development - all at their pace. While you're supported to feel calmer and more connected through expert guidance and a welcoming parent community
Montessori Movers
10-20 months
The perfect bridge between baby and toddler group.
A calm, nurturing space where little ones are free to move & explore. Supporting growing confidence in movement, language and independence through purposeful Montessori play, while you'll feel calmer and more confident as a parent though expert guidance and connection with parents at the same stage
Montessori Explorers
20 months-4 years
A unique group that supports both your child's growing independence and you as a parent.
Through over 50 carefully prepared Montessori activities, including weekly food preparation and baking, children develop confidence, concentration, language and social skills, while you gain expert guidance & practical strategies to use at home

Love Montessori Membership
As a member your space is guaranteed in your weekly class for as long as you want it - join or cancel anytime. The usual cost of your classes are spread evenly monthly - no more big upfront costs or missing priority booking windows. Members also benefit from access to a private whatsapp group, free guest speakers, and priority booking and exclusive discounts for one off seasonal sessions, workshops and online courses. There are no classes in August so no payment will be due that month.

About us
Meet Your Montessori Educator
Hi, I'm Alisa Khakhar. I'm an AMI qualified Montessori Educator, mum of two and founder of Love Montessori and my venue The Nest in St Albans, UK.
I believe that education transforms lives. It's a belief that's shaped my own journey and the reason I love helping parents discover just how capable they and their children really are.
Like many parents, becoming a mum challenged my confidence. When I discovered Montessori, everything changed. The new knowledge I gained empowered me and transformed the way I understood my children, replaced uncertainty with confidence and brought more calm and connection into our family life.
The impact was so profound that I went on to complete 2 internationally recognised AMI Montessori Diplomas for both 0–3 and 3–6 year olds, determined to learn as much as I could to use in my own parenting and in time, to share this approach with other families.
Today, I have the privilege of supporting hundreds of families through weekly classes, workshops and parent education - both at my beautiful dedicated venue, The Nest and online.
I didn't create Love Montessori because I want every family to become a "Montessori family". I created it because I believe every parent and every child deserves to feel capable, confident and empowered.
Whether you join a class, attend a parent workshop or simply follow along online, my hope is that you'll leave feeling calmer, more confident and reassured that you've got this.
